Here are a selection of chess puzzles, I will try to update these as often as possible. In an attempt to cater for everyone I have stated whether they are for beginner, intermediate or advanced players. I have also included hints with the beginner puzzle.

I will shortly be adding puzzles taken from games of Leeds Chess Club players simply to add a unique touch!

Next chess club night.

We are next meeting at the North Leeds Working Men's Club on Wednesday 10th March from 7pm onwards.

Most improved player of the year award 2010.

I am introducing this award at the end of the season, for a player to be eligible he must be a member of Leeds Chess Club, have a current YCA grade & to have played 10 or more games for the club by the end of the season.


More details can be found on the Team News page after clicking on the LCC STATS 2009/10 link, there you will be able to see who has the highest plus score currently. John Light is the current leader on +15 although Oli Weiss has the higher plus score - He has only played 4 games so far this season!
